Course Description

The visitor heading north on A9 heading for Dornoch has to pass on the way the delightful links of the Tain Golf Club in Ross-shire and if they at all discerning they should break their journey there for this is a Highland links that should not be missed. The layout is the work of Old Tom Morris and lies only nine miles south of Dornoch in a sheltered setting on the south shore of the Dornoch Firth. Wonderful views of sea and mountains add to the pleasure of playing on a traditional links that boasts many testing holes including the 3rd which has been rated as one of the best 18 holes in the British Isles and the 17th acknowledged as one of the best holes ever designed by Old Tom Morris.
